    Red face Chicot Lake

Chicot Lake crappie (sac-a-lait) are still in pre-spawn mode. Catching them in 6- to 8- feet of water. Upon cleaning, egg sacks still small and not ripe. Hopefully they will soon move to the shallows!Name: Glynn.jpg

fishervet . . . lol yep...the finicky, most difficult lake to get a consistent bite for sac-a-lait or bass in the entire state of Louisiana. The sac-a-lait there evidently had a bad day!

Ain't that the truth. I'm liable to go there and could not get a bite.

You are right about that my friend. I fish it often, and seldom do well. My hat's off to you. Nice pic. I heard the chickapin are just starting to bite around the north landing.

Yes they are Dapet. We weren't targeting them, but we caught a few. We weren't in the area that holds numbers of chinquapin. I did see a couple of boats near the ski lake area.

Nice catch, excellent picture. I haven't been there in a couple of years, pretty lake.
