    Default Limb Lines

Not much sport in limb lines IMO. And yes they are dangerous to us fish folks.

I cut a few derelict lines today. If it looks old and it's in my way I often use my pliers. I don't mess with a fresh one that people are tending though. I would love to see them all go.

When I was fishing Saturday I saw a dead bird hung up in a limb line. It had the colors of either a hawk or owl. After reading this article I am going to start removing abandon lines.

I am on a lease that's lottery for stands. Not a private stand on the lease. Not all deer hunters are stereotypical as you suggest. I run jugs and limb lines when I fish. But I tag my jugs and flag my limb lines. When I leave I take them with me. I am not complaining about running limb lines. What I am complaining about is the numbers of abandon lines out there that doesn't have a hook or been used in months. Some are just litter and a hazard to wildlife, fishermen and skiers. With the bacteria in our estuaries these days it would sux to be the one in the hospital trying to save a limb or my life. Just my 2 cents.

5 post! Nuff said!, Well maybe not.... I don't have a problem with guys using them on a camping trip but cut them down when you are done! When I was younger, we caught our supper using limb lines but we always cut them down when we finished.

I see people mark there limb lines by tying a beer can next them. I don't like them either.
