I think you hung with most of them and did good.
Why would a sponsor make a difference?

I guess because they are usually the ones who win these tourneys???? They probably wouldn't be Sponsored and making part of their living from Crappie fishing if they weren't really Good at it??? Does that make sense?

Don't know that's why I asked. I do know the pro's that get local tips usually do the best. IMO

I can't argue that....and that's perfectly legal so long as they aren't paying for the tips. Those guys fish lots and lots of tough tournaments and get really good at it......they are tough to beat. James and David are friends of mine and I know they are dedicated and really good Crappie fishermen..... I was simply congratulating them on hanging tough with the Crappie Master tournament and a really good finish for their first tourney. I know of quite a few sponsored teams that didn't finish nearly as well as they did and these are teams made up of guys that Crappie guide regularly and fish tournaments on a regular basis. It just makes sense that these companies wouldn't sponsor a team that couldn't catch fish.

Thanks for the kind words Steve. In a way we won because we had a fantastic time. Crappiemasters, however, did not pay for that. Lol. All in all it was a great experience and I'd do it again.
