Good looking fish! Looks like some spawners!

There are two things to aim for in life: First, to get what you want; and after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieves the second. Author unknown, but I like it!

If those are white the are the sperm sacks of male fish. Usually they come from the darker colored males.

When you catch them like that near the bank they are preparing nests. The females are off the bank a ways in deeper water. They swim toward the bank looking for a suitable male and nest and if she is ready she will move over the nest and deposit some of her eggs. The male will deposit his sperm and hang around to protect the young fry. A female will do this several times and not always in the same nest. Tonight's lesson on sac-au-lait. Subject to change by someone more knowledgeable than I.
