Nice! I see some sort of air line going in there as well as the filtration pump going. Tell us more! I have an old claw foot tub with a pond pump going with the suction line below a one gallon bucket filled with lava rock and filter material. I try to keep Koi in there, but when they get to a certain large size, the owls steal them. Something like that would work as long as I can keep my labs out of there Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting! Shiners rule.

Thanks for posting tiptop and welcome aboard. Will you have to feed them something like goldfish food if you have them for an extended period of time? ~~<*{{{{<<

I keep my own minnows as well in a 100 gallon tank. I recommend not feeding them. This causing them to put off more ammonia which removes oxygen out of the water; which will kill them quick. You'll know there's too much ammonia in the water if you see a light foam on the surface. Keep the water clean and they'll live a long time. Change water out 2x's a week.

Thanks for posting tiptop. That's a nice setup you have there. In certain times of spring I fish minnows and so does about everyone else around here. So when u want em you can't find em....unless u have them stashed at home.

Waxenslabs, that's some good info. I've tried to feed them and just didn't know what to do. From now on my shiner stash is on a fast.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I have been feeding them goldfish food. Thanks for the info on the ammonia I didn't think of that, looks like they are going on a diet.
