    Does anyone know where to get shiners by the North launch? I have a buddy at work that is going over there Saturday and was wondering where he could get shiners. He is coming from Dequincy and Pine Prarie. Thanks in advance.

    The closest place that I know of is Industrial Supply in Ville Platte. If he's coming from Lake Charles on I-10, then I-49 north, then him to exit off the Carencro exit. Turn left into Carencro, about a half mile down across a small bridge is a gas station that sells them.

    There are a couple of stores in Pine Prarie that sell crickets, may have shiners also. I believe one of them is Campbell's

    The Bait Shop in Pine Prairie is where I get mine. It's on the North end of town on the main drag (hwy 13), next to the prison.
