Default If I could pull maintenance

If I could pull maintenance on my allergies and sinuses like I did on the boat motor today I'd be in good shape. I damaged my prop a couple of week ago while picking up the boat at the ramp. I think I hit some concrete. Whatever it was it took off about an eight of an inch off the outer edge of prop and folder another eight in on all three lobes. I dropped it at the prop doc on Monday afternoon and he had it ready on Tuesday afternoon. He welded material on the blades and then ground and polished it to look just like new. He did a great job. I figured while putting the prop back on I just as soon change out the water pump impeller and the gear oil. That took about an hour taking my time. I pulled it to the free launch an put it overboard to check it out. Water pump working fine just like before as the old impeller wasn't bad. I warmed it up and ran it down the canal about a mile and turned around. The prop was just right, letting my tack show a little over 5500 and a speed of 32. That's exactly where it was before. Job well done by the prop doc and myself. Now as I said at the beginning if only I could do a job on my allergies. That short boat ride really affected me. I got home and started sneezing and my eyes itching with my sinuses draining. whew, I feel bad again. The boats ready but I'm not.

Yea pawpaw, I use to never get sinus problems up to about 2 to 3 years ago, now I get it once or twice a year! Guess I shouldn't have made fun of my father in law for getting sinus attacks..........Dang Karma!!! Just a thought, being that prop shop did you such a fine job on your motor, you may want to mention their name in case anyone else in your area needs a good prop doctor. Hope you feel better soon!

Dang it PawPaw, you gotta get rid of that stuff before next weekend. I fight sinus problems too and I've found taking these: Name: equate.jpg

Size: 10.7 KB really help a lot. I get them at Wally World and there only about 4 bucks/100. They don't make me drowsy and they let me breathe. I usually only need one in the morning but you can take more if needed.
It looks like the 15th is still a go. Where is that free ramp you told me about last year? We'll be coming from the bowling alley in Houma. I've got GPS so an address would work fine.
According to all the reports I'm getting, it looks like Henderson and your area are the only places producing anything at all.

    Thanks,
    Paul

Dwayne, I agree about posting the name of the prop doc. There are two very good one that I know of plus a couple of others. This was the first time I used this guy and not only did he do good but I chatted with him for quite a while and listened to him talk to other customers and learned a lot. He invited me to come over one day and take pictures and have him answer some questions on props. I'm no writer or reporter but I will try to get it done and post it.

Paul I will send you a private message with some info.

Does this mean I can borrow your boat for a few days?
