Default 2nd Annual Toledo Bend Gathering!

Had a great time, even if the fish didn't cooperate. Here is Slab with Billbob's man of the year award sign!

"G" (fill in for Billbob) with some of the women.

    The gathering Friday night.

Me and my family (minus my son) with Slab! Thanks for coming Ed, we really enjoyed having you!

Laikyn "LiL Shadow" couldn't wait to get out and play in the snow! This is the most snow either of us have ever seen in person!

Mrs Shadow got in on the fun too!

    Laikyn starting her snowman.

This is what my boat looked like Friday morning!

And the roads going to the chicken coop! Never made it over 25 MPH I believe!

    My truck before we left

Laikyn suffered through it with me, that is one tough little girl!

Even got a smile out of her

Deacon was the only other one CRAZY enough to be out there with us!

    The FROZEN chicken coop

I have a new respect for shiners after Saturday morning! These were frozen under about 1/4 to 3/8" of ice!

Angie and Laikyn with their snowman on Saturday

And for all those who haven't seen my leaking tub, I mean boat! Deacon's is in the back.

Looks like you had fun and that's what it's all about. Just saw that another blast is coming through Tuesday. Supposed to stay dry here in Monroe/West Monroe but Lafayette and points south are predicted to get up to 2" ice and snow. Go figure. On a historical note, the record snowfall in Louisiana is 24" set in Rayne back about 1895. It occurred during a similar situation that we had this past week (and this coming week) where there was only enough moisture in the air in central/south Louisiana for snow.
