Good trip. Some lakes like Lake Monticello in Ark. require you to keep all fish caught this time of year. Coming from that deep they most likely won't live anyway.

Went to Claiborne Saturday and ended up with 46. catching them in 50ft of water fishing 45 ft deep. Blue Thunder, electric chicken, and black/blue. Would have throwed 30 back but the few I tried to throw back floated on top of the water, so I dipped them back up and throwed them in the box. Gave them to a friend of mine that likes small fish. I took 15 home.

Sounds better than any trip I have made in a LONG time! Thanks for the report Skipper.

Sounds like a snapper trip offshore. This weather is right for Claiborne. I used to have a needle and I would stick them in the lower side and let the air out (press gently) and they would swim away. Don't ever fool with the stomach or whatever it is that comes into the mouth!!! It will retract in 3-4 hours they say. This has been proven in fresh and salt water. I've done this many times in both waters. I did this quite a few times in the pond behind my house when I was in Ruston, never saw a floater. All the captains down in sola do this.
