Haawg, Man it looks like that dead end pattern is in full swing in Des Allemands. I really like to go really light with a 1/32 oz. jig head on a beetle spin (0 hildebrant gold). Nice going and by the way, I grew up in Mimosa Park.....SLIP
Yeah, I picked up some 1's and zero's today in case winds are light this weekend. Those last two trips, the wind was intense!! I think smaller is always better if you can still detect the lure while your fishing. Seems like a couple of you guys like gold? Is that just a confidence thing? Thought gold was more of an off color water choice?
As for the gold, I guess I just like the Bling and so do the fish. I have used silver also but for some reason always come back to gold.
