we tied......9:45 to 2:30......zero......2 bites.....had one halfway to the boat and the line slipped out of my hand and he got off.....that was by the RR piling.....tried from 6 ft deep to 17 ft deep....jigs, beetle spin & shiners....those 5 hours went by so quick just enjoying the day.......talked to several regular locals that said the rising water shut them down.....they didn't have any either......why does coffee taste better on a cool day on the water......water level is up to just a tad over 11 ft.......
no fish on this stump today......got a dozen there last Sunday......fished 9 ft deep here.....

these fish......wonder what they do when/ where they go when the water's rising....JR says to fish the cuts not affected by the rising water....but I'm not sure what dictates that...also I learned something new today....watching the weather this am and when the wind blows south off the gulf it makes the river levels rise......so....another variable to contemplate when I'm awake at night........thanks for the post PS.......water will be better tomorrow.....fish were biting good yesterday.....you know how dat goes.......you da man too........
