Yea it was tough. I did stop by your sister in law's (or was it brother in law's) store on the way out and got me a hamburger and it was very good! Thanks for the head's up on that!

I really enjoyed the gathering and got to put a face on more cdc members. Thanks Dwayne for pulling it together and a BIG thanks to Beaubayou for the soup Saturday; it was awesome and really hit the spot on a cold and rainy day. I met a couple of locals and we may swap out trips at a later date. Deacon; I save my root beer until I got home; I've been looking for somewhere to buy it here.

I remember Bruce's soup from 2009. I think it saved us all from freezing.

Does anyone recognize the mask fisherman.

We were all fishing in Marcus' boat, there was Marcus, a friend of Marcus, Gene Cain, Dwayne, and myself taking the picture. I've never been so cold fishing.

We got there in beautiful short sleeve weather.

And woke up to a freezing cold front.

As they say, those were the days.

Yea Gene, and I remember getting hounded about keeping a small fish! Oh and it is Markham not Marcus but I don't think he would mind you calling him Marcus. I for one was sure glad he let me fish with him in his boat that day! He was supposed to make this trip and that was how it all got started but he had to back out to surprise his girlfriend in Germany with going over there early to see her. Sure wish he could have made it but we will have another one and maybe we can have more folks attend.

Thanks for the correction Dwayne. I knew that but got to thinking about another friend named Marcus. Part of growing older I guess.
