I vote Henderson. I went to Lake St. Martin today and fought that chilly wind for one nice bass. I couldn't get a crappie bite, but the guys I gave my fish to had a nice bunch of sacs. I think experience for the lake is key factor. They said that the bite was all in one spot only.
Really want to go to lake martin. Have always wanted to fish the wind forlorn middle of that lake. Maybe this weekend. Will have to wait and see. Weather will be nice and feel the need to get out. Will miss you PS but lake martin is calling.
You can't fish the middle until after 11:30
Heads up on Lake Martin, the lake was lowered this fall. Do it to get rid of the excess nitrogen from the bird poo and also to help control the salvinia and hyacinth amongst other things. Pumps will be running starting early in the week probably tomorrow (Monday) to fill the lake. Not sure what that will do to the fishing, may be some real good fishing near the fill pipe though who knows. Will be a great place to fish from the bank if the fish do get near the pipes. May have a couple real good days out there before the crowds get there and the pump stops pumping![]()
