You're teasing me aren't you? I noticed that orange crankbait on the one you caught. Looks like clear water where you pull those, no timber. I do that on occasion at Toledo Bend in areas where I can do that. I tend to catch lots of catfish though for some reason.

We usuall catch some cats on awsum pink and orange crush....buy we did not catch a single one yesterday.....usually catch some bass too but didn't catch anything but crappie yesterday. We did get rour lines tangled in a brush pile that we thought was deeper than it was.....other than that it was smooth sailing. We were running a saved gps course with the Terrova I-Pilot

Fishing for sacalait has never been easy. At least for me. Lately I've been weaning off the shiners again and just been goin at em with jigs, roadrunners, and the like. I consider the one bream on a long day a victory as such because it gives confidence in something other than live bait. When it gets cooler I will buy shiners again, but for now it will be jigs. I have learned that sometime they just wont touch a shiner. Yesterday I did an experiment and tried with a jig on a top without a bite. Switched to a shiner and caught 5. One thing I do is work it like a jig. I don't know about you but to cure my addiction I have to use what works......lol.

I either bring a kid or catch whats biting. That's my cure.
