Hey guy’s,
I fished out of Pigeon Monday and ended the day with 22 sac-a-lait; most were caught in Pig Pigeon on deep structure. Also caught a few in what I call the Texaco canal. Bad weather cut my trip a little short, but it was fun. PIGEON…man, I love that place!
Good fishing and God Bless!

great post da....williams canal is my most familiar canal out of pidgeon.....also 4 corners and have you heard of the monkey tree??
I'd like to hear the story about the monkey tree...........
its a tree that my wifes uncle and daughter name as such because the cypress tree has a large knot on the side of the trunk that looks like a monkey head...hence the name....located in williams canal on the left in a slough as you're heading back towards the levee..
i sure would like to make a trip to Pigeon friday, can anyone give give me a hint of wheres to go and try to catch at least 5 sacaliat to make a meal. what kind of jig, or color, cork or no cork. what direction to go. ive been to old river Innis every weekend, so i havent been to the spillway yet.
Can you tell me where Bayou Pigeon is? I know it is in the Basin but not sure where. What landing do you go out of? What is the ideal river level to fish this area? Very nice catch. Like to explore new places in the Basin that are not to difficult to navigate. Thanks for the info---HAPPY FISHING
