I would contact Superior Repair Services off Banks Ave in Lafayette. I've used them a few times and I would highly recommend them. They're awesome welders/fabricators.

Duracraft 1546. I bought it plain. Looking to do some improvements on it.

x2 on Superior Repair Services. They're excellent. Even at repairing trolling motors.

I get all my jigs there, didn't know they did fab too. Good to know. Hey Shane bring it to Superior and pick you up some #51's while your there!

#51's.....i know someone swears by black and chart. I've fished with you though....hard to argue with results! I'll clean out the #51's on the shelf so they will be out the next time you go!

I put in a 1/8" aluminum diamond plate floor in my duracraft 1542, and it was just so heavy I didn't feel like it was worth it. I cut it out, installed a low deck very similar to the low decks that come in the War Eagle boats, and I LOVE it. It added about 35 lbs., but was well worth it. I use it as a step-down as well as fishing deck. I think a full floor deck made out of 1/8" diamond plate will add about 70 lbs. to your 1546.
Just something to think about.

Check out tinboats.net. They have some awesome info on that forum on aluminum boats. Some of the mods those guys have done are unbelievable.
