    Default Toledo Bend 5/2

    Fished from 4pm till 7:30

Kept about 20 good sized crappie. Weather was horrible, heavy wind gusts, misting rain. Had a big front move thru about 5pm, we ran back to the dock and waited about 30 minutes for it to blow by. Almost went ahead and picked up and left then.

Had to fish protected side of cove near boat launch. Fish were suspended about 12-15ft down on grass beds in 14-20 ft of water.

Acid Rain, Green & Chartreuse, and Black and Chartreuse all caught well.

No pics right now, will add some in the morning before i get motivated enough to clean em up, for tonight they are gonna sleep on some ice.

basically a white top jig with a chartreuse tail, but the top is a mix of white and greenish chartreuse.

Seen them before but didn't know they were called that, I haven't seen a jig tied like that usually the wing is on the bottom. That would be great color in the marsh.

I think as long as you have something with a good amount of chart on it your going to do fine. I caught plenty on the green & chartreuse (greenie meanie color i believe) and plenty on black and chart as well. Had a total of 4 rods out with 2 jigs on each, also tried blue / white jigs, and orange / white... no bites on those..
