    Cool Lake Providence/Poverty Point

Pops and i made a lake providence run this morning, didn't do so hot. We fished till 10:30 and only had two black crappie and a "catperch".
Decided to cut our losses and head to poverty, fought the wind on the north end till about 3:30 and finished up the day with a decent mess of fish. There were probably 15 or 20 trucks in the lot and seemed like half of them were from Arkansas Water temps were in the high 50s, we did catch a few males along the bank right before we give up. Didn't weight any of these but i'm sure the two on the bottom were #2 plus and 15 inches long, i know it doesn't look like it but several of the females were in the 14 inch range. Passed up Bluethunder on our way out but we were already past him before we figured out it was him.

Nice catch! Looks like you proved that there is still fish in that flooded rice field!

Shoulda hollered at me. You're right about the Arkansas guys. It's a church group that comes at this time every year and it seems like they grow in numbers every year. We layed the smack down on them yesterday despite the crowd. Didn't do so hot this morning but looking for a better afternoon.

I hope to make it there or Darbonne on Thursday. I'll be in a red Bass Tracker
