Poverty Point and D'Arbonne Bayou
Fished this morning on the deep channels at Poverty Point and then went to Holland Bluff to fish the deep holes on D'Arbonne Bayou. Only fished about two hours at each place but didn't catch a thing. There weren't a lot of people out on PP and didn't see anyone catch anything either. There was one truck parked at Holland Bluff. Guess I'll go back to deer hunting.

Tbone, the bite on the bayou is not bad and the fish are good size. Not many people fishing either, I will be going back in the morning or Wednesday.

Jim, I could be wrong because I haven't been there in months, but the water looked a bit muddy to me below Holland Bluff. I also didn't try the stumps or tree tops and could have been fishing in the wrong place. Did see about an 8 foot alligator sunning on the bank which surprised me for this time of year.

You know, I thought I might of saw one swimming but said no way to myself. Water was real muddy on Saturday, was muddy from s curves up yesterday. The river must be backing up into the bayou yesterday because the current was going upstream. Try the stumps and the tops. Let me know how it goes. Jim

Thanks for the tip. If I go back I'll let you know how I do.
