I am planning on heading to Cypress tomorrow afternoon. Just curious if anyone has been lately and if this wind is affecting anyone.

Shooter407, welcome to the forum. You may have had your post read by more people if you would have started a new thread titled Fishing around Marksville. There is plenty of water around Marksville for sure, but I haven't seen many post about that area. Good luck and enjoy your stay.

Drummer,
I went out to Cypress today, the wind was just to much. I even tryed a drift sock but still too fast moving. I did get tangled a lot.
Bobgill, I understand what you mean about staying off the bottom, hard to do when you are moving so fast.

There are two things to aim for in life: First, to get what you want; and after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieves the second. Author unknown, but I like it!
