    Shooter407, welcome to the forum. You may have had your post read by more people if you would have started a new thread titled Fishing around Marksville. There is plenty of water around Marksville for sure, but I haven't seen many post about that area. Good luck and enjoy your stay.

    I am planning on heading to Cypress tomorrow afternoon. Just curious if anyone has been lately and if this wind is affecting anyone.

    Drummer,
    I went out to Cypress today, the wind was just to much. I even tryed a drift sock but still too fast moving. I did get tangled a lot.
    Bobgill, I understand what you mean about staying off the bottom, hard to do when you are moving so fast.

    May be a dumb question But do yo uhave to have that purple tag on your boat to fish cypress or can anyone with a boat go? I know someone had told me that I had to have the cypress/black bayou tag on my boat or the game nazis would ticket me?

    Yes you have to have a yearly sticker to fish Cypress(Legally!)LOL You get them at the Park office I think they open at 0700hrs.

    LOL thanks better to be safe than sorry. I really want ot get out on that lake it seems to be the honey hole and its allot closer than driving all the way to caddo lol.
