Default This Week/ Weekend (2/17- 2/20) at Larto

Well I got me a Thursday, Friday,Saturday and Sunday OFF this week and I'm going to plow into Larto each and every day Hell I have talked the wife into coming one or 2 days if she can take off also (I may try the fish cleaning thing on her we talked about a few post back ) I will be in the camo War Eagle with the power pole on the back of it stop and say hi if you see me would be nice to meet some of you I normally fish with my dog (A Red British Lab) but she is going into heat and not sure if I will bring her out like that she is kind of moody when she is IN. I hope to Fish like I have been catching them in the 16 to 20 FOW It has been fun but if not I will set my poles up and hit the Shallow water by the banks. I know last weekend the fish was on the smaller side not sure if that will change if I was fishing the banks but I do know the people I saw fishing the shallow water was not catching alot of fish that I could see.

If you know you are going chime in and I will be on the look out for you

If your wife goes you may want to try the fish cleaning thing on the last day. That way you can see up to the last day. She may black your eyes Sunday

TRY THE FISH CLEANING WIFE THING ON THE FIRST DAY! That way there when you are laid up in a hospital bed in a full body cast, there will be more fish for me to catch the next two days! LOL

I am going Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon at Uncle Buds. 17' Aluminum Tracker with Mercury. I will probably be alone since the wife will be back at the cabin with the two black labs. Full moon on Saturday, wish us luck!

Cyberwolf, I made it to Larto yesterday, Tues., for a full day fishing. After getting thru the fog, I set up my jig poles for my first try ever at trolling for crappie.Yea, it looked easy but it's a different ball game. I caught 12 or so and kept 8. I had both minnows and tube jigs on and caught a little better on jigs. Switched over to hair jigs(Mardi Gras colored) under a cork and hit shallow water for a total of 40 keepers. Will try that trolling thing again soon as all those people fishing deep must know something...Any how, I hope your days off are enjoyed. I"ll be out there again soon in an old Monarch flat bottom with my trolling poles all tangled. Good God I love to fish...<><
