Default Slow evening for us on Cypress

Fished Cypress this evening from about 4pm til 830 pm. Only caught 2 fish. We mostly just drifted seevral spots.

Anyone else been out there lately? I talked to one guy that claimed to have caught 65 this morning in the rain.

I am going back tomorrow, May try the bridge on the north end.

bassadict you may be a week late fishing under the bridge, they were under thair for about two weeks wasent any big fish hand size big enough. They have moved out from the bridge around some deep holes in the creek and they are out whare you see the yo yo,or the boards nailed to the stumps. Or in the edge of white oak creek. You should come join the Northwest La. Crappie Club we have a tournament March 4th on Red River out of Clarks.

I have thought about joining your crappie club but I really have too much on my plate now. I am not getting to fish near as much as I would like! I will definately keep it in mind though.

I heard lots of reports a couple of weeks ago about everyone tearing them up at the bridge. I just could not find the time to get out there so I missed out on that. I have never even thought to try the edge of White Oak, I should have tried that today.

We went today from about 1230 til 530 & ended up with 24 that we cleaned. Caught them all on shiners in the area across from the main launch. They were scattered, just one or two here & there. When we were leaving we seen one guy with a marker out just in front of the launch. He was catching them one after another!

There are two things to aim for in life: First, to get what you want; and after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieves the second. Author unknown, but I like it!

That's a good mess bassadict-- I usually find that, when I hear terms like "tearing em up" I'm usually too late. Theres nothing better that hitting the water and finding the fish. I something just bring an extra can of gas and just scout around, try likely spots till I find something or not. But, you get to know the waterways.
Of course, my lake is pretty big. Ray

It is on Cypress...from the main launch, it is just before you get to the beach on the right. It is the cove that is full of stumps.
