Many anglers stop targeting crappie on the St. Johns River once April rolls around. The spawn has ended and the easy crappie fishing has past. Crappie fishing pros Whitey Outlaw and his fishing partner Mike Parrott have some advice for the pessimists that think the fishing is over.
Outlaw and Parrott are frequent competitors on the
Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters All American Tournament Trail. They have a long tradition of winning between them. They were recently named 2014 Angler Team of the year after accumulating more points than anyone else in the history of Crappie Masters.
