I fish a lot of clearwater lakes so I must use a fairly long trolling rod. I use 6-8 rods up front depending on how fast they are biting. I have them in the B&M Prostaff, WM Tightlines, and the B&M Capps & Colemans. For trolling up front I use 16-18 ft rods only. If pulling from the back I will also use some 12 and 14 ft rods. The long rods are very simple to use....just takes a little time to get used to them. But I guarantee they will put Lots more fish in the box every time out! I put a single 1/16 oz jig in a loop knot on the bottom and 1/2 oz weight 24 inches above it!!!! For Rod holders its Hi Tec (Home) all the way around the boat. About as simple as it gets and works like a charm.....
