The way Dad fished was out in the bay. As far as I know he never fished in close to the bank. He never beat the brush.
He knew where some brush piles were and would make them his regular stops, but he would also drift around looking for crappie. I don't remember what depth he was catching them at. I think I only went with him that one year, and I believe we were catching them at about ten or twelve feet below the surface. Does that sound about right for April and May?
