    Thumbs up Sweet Revenge!

Well as some of you already know the fish were not too kind to me last week. As a matter of fact I had to leave the campground & come home to get fish for a fish fry! :o Oh the shame!!! Well today I made up my mind that I was gonna get back at'um.

Started shallow & worked my way out deeper. Found fish on brush coming up high in the water colume in about 15'. Casting 1/16 oz road runners with 1 & 1/2 inch chartruse curly tails. Counting down to about 8 & reeling sloooooooow! Caught about 40 but could only manage 18 keepers & 1 big gill. Lost 4 nice fish right at the boat!

Nice fish wiskers, glad you were able to get a little revenge. Looks like I should have looked a little deeper today.

    nice catch whiskers

i think the falling water finally pushed them back out .
i caught some nice ones today in 14' brushpiles. all whites most females 1/2 spawned out . my largest today was 16 1/2 "
also the gills are on fire in 6' of water on the pea gravel banks . also caught some nice shellcrackers the last couple of days. fishin is so good i don't know what to go after. i just hate it when that happens. good luck to ya and stay in touch.

Nice catch Wiskers. I was at Hillman last week and agree it was pretty tough. I'm glad to see it wasn't just us Buckeyes having a hard time finding them. We seemed to have some located in 6'-10' but were scattered. It was still a nice trip.

We were gonna be at Hillmans but that reservation crap screwed up everything for us. I tried & tried to book a site for a week but all the dates were chopped up were we were gonna have to move about 2 time in the week we were gonna be there.

As for the fish'n... Probably the worst week of camp'n & fish'n I've had in years. Had 1 day that I didn't catch 1 keeper. I can't remember the last time I went & didn't catch a keeper. Wind bout blew me off the lake.

Still beats work'n! Speak'n of work... I gotta go back to the boat Tuesday!

We did manage some fish every day but not nearly the quantity or size. Most years we cull everything under 11". It seems most of our bigger fish came from 6'-10'. I'm ususally there for a week but could only come for 4 days this year.
I know what you mean about that resevation system. We haven't made resevations in the past but we're going to start. We bring a tent and moving even once would be a real pain. I think the resevations should be for a minimun of 4 or 5 nights or atleast limit the number of areas that weekends only are reservable.
Ky Lake is still my favorite spot to fish in the world. I just wish I had more time to spend there.
