    Default Blood River Bite?

Thinking about going down Monday and fishing for a couple days and looking for a report. I know the wind has been brutal the last couple days and imagine most fisherman have been hidden away close to the bank. What little I've heard the past few days isn't too encouraging!

I don't know anybody that's been out lately. The last time I went was a week ago Friday and reported in a different thread although I doubt that report would do you any good. Water has warmed considerably and risen quite a bit since then. Please be careful if you try to go tomorrow, another member already reported that there 3 people missing from a boat capsizing on the lake in the Calloway county area yesterday evening, and the wind forecast isn't any better for tomorrow. It's killing me sitting here on the computer and not fishing, but the wind has been/is too strong. I hope to get out there Tuesday. If you go give us a report and once again please be careful.

I have heard that they aren't doing much.

I bass fished the area Friday morning until getting blown off of the lake. The bass bite was good but I never saw the first crappie put into a boat.

I had planned on crappie fishing today but this wind and the amount of floating trash on the water constantly fouling your bait makes it pretty much impossible.

We just got back this afternoon. We fished thurs afternoon, friday, saturday and sunday morning. Finished with only 39 keepers and a crap load of dinks and yellow bass. The wind blew 20-30 plus each day. If it was not for the drift socks we would have not been able to fish at all. One good thing was they were nice ones any where from 1 1/2 -2 1/2 lbs. We fished Big bear, Johnathan and blood. Warmest spot we found was 69.5 . Spider rigged with minnows and jigs. Lake was 2 1/2 ft above summer pool thurs and friday they started draining it. Hopefully it will get better. Good luck to everyone.

Just got back from J creek. It has been like fishing on the Great lakes the last few days. Even my sure fire, never miss, honey hole was dead.

I would not waste a vacation day for it.
I think the mistake a lot of us make is thinking the state-appointed shrink is our friend.
