KY river

Anybody fished KY river thinking about going in the morning up in paint lick creek. just wanting to know how it was.

I've been wondering the same. I heard was lots of nice crappie caught in that area last year but I never had any luck. I put in down at No ferry at the end of 39. I would say the water is still up pretty good because of all the rain. Let us in on a report if you happen to go, I'm curious

I fished the KY Friday night from 5:00 to 9:45. I put in at the Orgeon ramp between Cummins Ferry and Lawrenceburg. The water was 55 degrees and going at a good clip. I was fishing minnows and crawlers for crappie and had no luck. Caught one small channel cat and a bluegil. The water had some small trash floating but nothing large enough to cause much concern. Had to take it easy on the way back due to the darkness.

It was just nice to be back on the water after a couple years absence.

we went sat.and caught 7 but the fishing was slow. what we did catch was good size.I had one that was 13 1/2 inches long and the rest was all over 9 inches. they not ready too nest .They didn't have any eggs in them.

caught 20 sunday just outside lockpit on the downside of dam, slow reeling jigs tipped with minnow, not real big ones 9 to 11 inches and kind of skinny but they hit hard, also caught a few hybred, only had time to fish till 11am so not bad.
