12-15 FT, you been wanting to fish the brush, nows the time. Try the bank early, but deep is going to be the best.
Take you kids fishing today!!! They will be grown (and married and have children of their on) tomorrow. Then you can take your GRANDKIDS!

    Easter weekend!?!?

Man, I avoid the lake on weekends as it is but Easter weekend? Good luck! Take a ticket and wait in line for the brush piles.

With the recent cold snap and lake levels I'd go deep in the mid areas of major creeks. But, what do I know? I zeroed out Wed afternoon in the 3 foot rollers in Little Bear.

Fished a few hours at Blood River yesterday morning and only had 3 keepers. 2 before 6:30am in 11fow, the last a big one in 14 fow. Caught a bunch of 9"ers in 14-16fow bouncing the bottom. Didn't catch enough to give you real good advice but the sonar showed a lot more fish near the bottom in that range and definitely started getting more bites when I backed out.Fished several brush piles but didn't catch any better in the piles than out away from them. I'd stay out there unless the water warms up a 3 or 4 degrees(was 56 when I left at 10 yesterday).

haha sad part is, i am self employed!! haha that takes up more time that working for someone else! I ended up sneaking off this morning with everyones good advice and ended up with a whoping grand total of 5. Two big bass tourneys were going on and there was traffic everywhere! I'll try and post some pics later of a good one we caught and a bass boat that cut in in front of me about a foot from my rod tips.

    KrappieKing,

Sounds liek you did a fair piece better than me and my dad. We only caught 2 crappie all day. One male white keeper and a black that wouldn't have measured had we had a measuring device on board. Caught a few yellow bass and the one keeper crappie and headed back home. We were fishing donaldson on Barkley.

    That wind was fierce today.

I wound up with a half a dozen slab males, at least a dozen stud bluegill and 5 yellow bass big enough to fillet. I lost track of the number of bluegill and yellow bass that I threw back.

Running through those schools of bluegill will keep you hopping while spider rigging.

Went out for little bit after work this afternoon. I only caught 4, but they were all keepers. 3 nice ones and 1 just big enough. The wind was had big bear rollin again. Alot of folks out also. Caught them in 6-8 feet in brush. Pretty much one fish per pile. Didnt get the hook set on a few and lost a few before I got them to the boat.
