I'm going down on Thur. the 9th. for three days. Hope to find enough Crappie to feed four anyway. I also would appreciate any info about how and where. Will be using minnows and whatever jigs that are popular.

Fished green today 9:00-3:30, pretty windy. Put in at holmes bend and the water was murky. Fished there up to the bridge going up river, and the water seemed to get more mud to it the farther up we went. Where we fished the water was anywhere from 54-59 degrees. Despite the wind we wound up with 21 pretty good fish. Someone else could probably help you more, but this is just what I wound up with.

    Good Luck

    Default Lots of small ones

Fished there a few days ago and water temp was right around 51 degrees, but that was the day after the cold front moved out. We fished up near casey creek and put in at Holmes Bend. Caught several tiny crappie and 1 nice one. I don't know whats been wrong with lake the last few years but all I can seem to catch is dinks. I'm just about through with it. No need to drive almost 2 hours to catch dinks when I can catch them right up the road at Cedar Creek. Sorry to sound like I have a bad attitude but I've had a few bad trips the last week or two, but that's while they call it fishing and not catching. Doesn't help we slayed them in Alabama last month. Just seems like the crappie aren't near as big hear. Good luck and have a good time. Give us a report if you get the chance.
