Default Best location on Rough River?

Where is a good place to start crappie fishing on Rough River? I grew up near Eveleigh but never put a boat on the water then. Would love to fish it.

Clifty Creek has been the best place I have ever found on Rough to catch Crappie.

Do you put in at Eveleigh and run up to Clifty Creek? How's the ramp there?

When the water is up you can actually use the ramp at Clifty Creek. I usually just fish it from the bank though. I really don't know how the best way to get there by boat is, but I am looking it up right now.

Ok, it looks like Peter Cave boat ramp would be your best bet if you are wanting to fish Clifty Creek.

Hey guys... I couldn't help but notice you were talking about Rough. I grew up around rough, but didn't start fishing it until recent years. I usually stay on the nothern end of rough from Laurel Branch back to Calamese Creek. We have a house back in Tules Creek...usually some pretty good Crappie fishing. On the north end, I recommend Tules and Calamese creeks.

Northfork area up Tules Creek has always been a hit for me. I am going in two weeks and would love to hear if anyoneis catching anything right now. I am am planning on taking my father who is in pretty bad health right now. I need ramp that has a dock so it will be easy to get him in. Does Axel have a dock? I know Northfork does ut it is only usefull once the water levels are up.

Ok, it looks like I will hopefully be heading to Rough this Sunday if the weather holds out. Any other spots you guys think I should try?
