Well ole Eddy Creek paid off today. 80 to a 100 small fish. I did manage to bring home 19 pretty gooduns. If I knew I was that close I coud have stayed a little longer. I had a good day, by myself today and last Sunday we ( a buddy and I) got 23.

I probably had 60 today in Blood River but the majority of them were short fish. They seem to be scattered just about anywhere you want to try for them.

I fished blood for the first time yesterday. Caught several fish ended up with sixteen keepers. I was wandering do yall think the fish will still be on the big flat in front of wildcat in two weeks (bringing family down to stay at the lake for a few days) or will they be in the bushes. I was wandering if anyone catches them spawning on the flat.

Fishtale and I went out and kept 11 on Friday and only 6 on Saturday. Saturday we caught a little of everything, many white bass, perch, black bass, bluegill, and I even caught a pickerel (only 2nd one I ever caught). We may try to go back out today (Sunday). A lot of people were out there spider rigging but we were beating the banks. I seem to enjoy that better but the spiders seem to be catching more fish. All in all we had a good time and that's what matters. We saw some guys on our little newly discovered hole and they were slamming them but it looked like they were keeping some really small fish....they were from Indiana. I hope they were over 10 inches .

I know some people that fish the flat by the flag pole and they seem to catch fish but usually after the water warms up more, but who knows.

Didn't do good at all. Must be the front that pushed in. Last year at this same time we caught 90 or so in a day and a half. We caught 17 crappie keepers total. Two went 1 3/4 lbs and five went just over 1 1/2 pounds. So the ones we caught were nice but man I am disappointed. Oh well, thats fishing. Still got four more bags of crappie to fry from those 17. We did catch a lot of short ones so the future looks good.

Mepperson I'm sure we saw you out there Sunday or monday? Blood River, that is. Me and a buddy were in an olive 17' Xpress with a Yammy 60. Only one like it out there. Now I can't say that about Trackers. I was making fun of them because my buddy has one...and we saw a bunch of them out there. I only tease him about it because he bought a like-new Tracker 175 with a 50 hp Tracker motor for about half of what I paid for my new Xpress and gave me a case of buyer's remorse.

We caught a few around dark Sunday and at dawn Monday but it was awful slow otherwise. We kept 26 in the boat total, but they was some nice fish. We were mostly throwing jigs at and off the banks. No spider riggin, but we did try the ledges a bit and it produced maybe 4 fish total. And man, the place was crowded.

Jigboy, if you could show me how to catch the redears, I would be happy to to buy all the boat gas, food, and drinks for a weekend!!!

It's been an up and down week for sure. I was out Thursday and limited out in a couple hours. All the fish were 13 plus. Then I guided Friday in the rain during the warm front passage. We caught a dozen big ones but the bite had really slowed from the day before. But we are still catching some quality fish for sure. 90% were whites vs. just a a week or so ago when most were black crappie.
