    Default Barren

    We put in at Walnut Creek and fished up the river some. Caught 5-6 keepers and several dinks. They were scattered to say the least. No two from the same spot.

    The color is good. It is a stained but not too bad.

    We used minnows. Don't think either one of us ever tied a jig on.....

    If the Corps would quit pulling it they should really turn on. IF they do.

    I wish one year they would let the biologists regulate the water and make the corps leave it alone.

    May try it in the AM. IF I can find a partner.

    kycurhunter, I drove up to walnut creek today to look at the water & couldn't believe how good the water looked. I was there about noon & just 1 truck & trailer at walnut creek. I may try it tomorrow. I'll probably put in at the state dock & run up to WC. I'll be in a blue 18' Lowe boat w/ a white Johnson motor. HOLLAR if ya c me!

    Went to Walnut Creek yesterday,sunrise to sunset.Lots of fisherman,but no one catching anything.I had 3 crappie about 8 inches long.Had one get off at the bank about 10 inches.The fish are really scattered and water really clear.I tryed minnows and the bluegill would not leave me alone.One crappie on minnow.Caught what i did on a purple-viloet white tube jig.Needing some rain to change water color.Don't forget when the water turns to mud,put on the cut bait for catfish.Good fishing to everyone.

    Put in at Walnut Creek this Am about 8. Ran up to the far end of the second bluff up river from Walnut Creek Marina. I caught 1 keeper and some dinks. I left around 11 as the wind was getting pretty stiff.

    I stopped and talked to a guy who was fishing the bluff close to the ramp and he had 9. I gave him my remaining minners and my one single fish.

    He said some of his family had caught a limit yesterday....Told me where too. The wind and the fact that my trolling motor prop had decided to fall off at some point had already convinced me to head in for the day. Maybe I'll hit that place first in the morning....I have caught LOTS of fish in the area he talked about so maybe just maybe they are there. {here today gone tomorrow ..... right?}

    It has to start getting better. It is that time of year. Bet we see winter pool again before spring. Maybe a few times.
