They say all the current data says that it won't work, but they are going to start by stocking Little River and Eddy Creek on Barkley and then have a tournament in a few years to determine what percentage of the fish caught were the ones they stocked in those areas. The way they will be able to tell is by looking for a dye in the fish that they can see when cutting them open. The dye is introduced to the fish before they are released so they can positively identify them.

I'm glad they are going against "convention wisdom" and at least giving it a shot to see if it will work. If they determine stocking does work then they will only then consider trying to stock KY and Barkley on a larger basis in the major bays like Blood, Sled, Jonathon, etc... I sure hope it works!
