    Default Below Smithland Dam

    Guys,

Just wondering if anyone is hearing anything regarding the sauger below Smithland dam. I am looking at heading over sometime soon, because gas is almost affordable!

    Thanks

Just fished KY. side of Newburgh Dam with not even a bite. A little windy today.

    Default Hey Mike

Hey Mike, how are you doing? Its been on my mind also. I came home from Louisville today and drove within about 15 miles. If my wife was not with me I would have brought my gear and gone over to fish off the bank.

Reelfoot still low. I don't enjoy the stump jumping so much so I have not been much lately.

    Getting ready for duck season.

    Good Luck

    Default Ohio river sauger

The sauger fishing is starting to get decent on the river. Caught 18 from 13-17 inches, in 25-40 ft of water.

    Question Huck?

Were you jigging spoons or drifting minnows?

    Default Minnows

We were using 1oz jigs tipped with minnows and a #6 stinger hook. Here are a few I caught yesterday.

    Cool

Went yesterday (Sunday 23rd) and got my limit of 10.
Most were small (12"ish) and wouldn't hit anything other than a minnow.
