Fished Green yesterday. It was 9:00 or so before the fog lifted. About 35 degrees when we put in at Site One. Not much action on the flats near Bruner Creek. Went to Holmes Bend and fished some brush. Lake is up with temps around 67-69 by the end if the day. Wind was nasty from time to time. Picked up a lot of small fish but only put 12 in the cooler. Water stained. Used minnows over brush and tight lined with minnows drifting points and around rock ledges with structure underneath. Marked a lot of fish at 23 ft in 50-60 ft of water but none biting.
Saw four boats on the flats near Holmes. Tried that last weekend and had no luck. Don't know how those folks did yesterday.

So bossman 313. How did you do? Did you catch a bunch of crappie?
Well I did not burn it by any strecth of the imagination. But I had boat trouble. Broke my gear lever, but thankfully I had a spare. Then my min kota co-pilot did not want to work at all. Still isnt working? I just had it worked on by replacing the "motherboard". I guess I will have to take it back to dealer for repairs. But I did find alot of brush piles along the rock bank and a few piles up in Burner Creek. I did not fair to well at any of those palces and wound up going back to the houseboat and fishing. I guess I caught around 40 but I would safely say only a few were actual keepers. I suppose it will take me a while to figure things out. The wind blew my deck boat off the water on saturday and I could not stay anchored down over the piles. Once I get my co-pilot working effectively I feel like I will do better. I did catch three very nice arm length channel cats...heading back this Thursday for a long weekend....hopefully the weather will cooperate some...
