I think I'm going to try next weekend (have to work this weekend). Just wondering if anyone has been fishing under the lights?
Take care,

I too, have been thinking about night fishing. Wondering if anybody has suggestions of places to try this within an hour or so of Louisville. Any tips would be geatly appreciated.

Hey Ted,
Have you thought about trying Patoka (don't know how far that is from Louisville exactly). It seems like the clearer water there might allow lights to draw fish in better. I would suggest T-ville but things have been a bit slow there lately. Maybe others can help you out a little more.
Take care,

i haven't been night fishing this year but if I were to go I'd hit the pier at Osborne on Patoka. Never tried it from a boat yet.

Always have good luck at Taylorsville but never catch any with any real size.

Went to Nolin - Dog Creek - 7/11. Fished with lights all night till 5:00AM. - caught one crappie. After about an hour, I had so many shad the depth finder thought it was a weed bed. I've never seen anything like it - millions of shad in a frenzy. There was no way a predator fish could have found my bait.
