Thread: Fishing

I have not been all year untill last weekend and we caught a few at night on minnows. We were just drifting down channel bluffs and in the channel. Crappie were really deep. I have caught several this time of year, in the past up in the creeks on brushpiles located on flats, usually 5-10ft. of water. The more you go down the lake towards the dam, the deeper you may find them. As the water warms main lake fish will move up. There is no thermocline now and the fish can just about be anywhere. The night bite is not really hot yet, but it has been a wet and cool spring. The lake temp was 66 degrees and thats really cool for this time of year.
