    Default Jonathan Creek

Six Of Us Just Got Back From Fishing At Jonathan Creek From April 17th-20th.. We Averaged Around 20 Keeper Crappie Per Boat.. We Had Quite A Few 13-14 Inchers And A Few 15 Inchers... Didnt Catch Any Hogs But Real Nice Crappie...we Did See One At The Resort That Had To Be Close To A 3 Pounder... Guy And His Boy Said They Caught 2 The Day Before Then Caught 32 Fishing The Buck Brush In Shallow Water.. The First Day My Dad And I Threw Back Around 15 Crappie That Were 9 -9.5 Inchers... We Fished Hard.. We Caught Most In The Buck Brush Using Minnows In 2 To 4 Foot Of Water When It Was Flooded And In The Afternoon.. We Caught Whites And Blacks In The Brush..the Lake Dropped Pretty Quick.. I Know My Boat We Only Caught 4 Crappie Bumping Jigs In The Deeper Water... Like An Earlier Post - We Caught Probably 80 Percent Of Our Fish In The Afternoon.. Morning Bite Was Slow And We Tried Shallows And Deep Water... Caught 8 In 12-15 Foot Of Water In One Hour One Morning And Then They Just Locked Jawed... The Yellow Bass Do Get Annoying But We Cleaned Em Up.. We Stayed At Sportmans Resort In A Cabin And It Was A Dump... But Hey We R Not Hard To Please..

Thumbs down Your relpy about Sportman Lodge Cabin

Your reply about Sportmans Lodge Cabin, is 100% accurate. They are very much dumps, and should be demolished. Thats my two cents worth. And the owner/manager is a disgrace to KY Lake, she should be run out of town. Thats my opinon anyway. But I'm sure its not worth anything.

But we did catch 18 fish friday with a 13 and 14 inch also. In 3 to 4 foot of water around docks and brush piles.

My buddy's and I returned from KY lake on Saturday 4/19/8. What a week of wind and dropping water. Fished Duncan creek and caugt a few nice slabs and a lot of 6-10" bass. The old saying - "you should fish next week". How true. The lake was almost at summer pool and the moon was full when we left. We stayed at the Cozy Cove resort and it was the nicest lodging that I have every stayed in. The cabin was clean and well decorated. I think it is nice that we share experiences of fish, but also the good and bad we experience in the lodging.
