    Default Nolin Lake 4-5-08

Fished Nolin Saturday, and caught some of the bucket mouth trash fish, and white bass. The boys in the other boat with us caught 1 (small) small mouth bass, and 1 crappie. Water temp was 53.9 and still high, muddy and moving fast. We talked to one guy tightlining who said he had 10 in the boat after half the day. We still may be 2 or so weeks before the action starts. More days like today will help for sure. Just thought I would let you all know.

Fished today and only got 2 keepers. Water is muddy and rising quickly. I did find some 56 degree surface temps in Briar Creek later in the day when the sun was shining bright but it was really muddy.

Thanks for the reports guys.. Do you have any idea if you can get a boat in Rough yet ?? A couple of weeks ago the ramps were under and that was before all this rain. Where did you put in at Nolin ?

Thanks for the report. I've not been out myself since Good Friday. I'm sure itching to get out there. Looks like waiting another week would probably be a good idea.

Glad you caught something. All this weather and muddy water has everything screwed up. I was hoping you guys would do some good today.

Martin, we put in at the State Park on Nolin. I can't help you on Rough River.

Limbsnagger, you going to have to get the permission slip signed by momma, and go with us! :D

    Creeker, it was tough.

Brad, let us know how you do!

Drove by Rough on the way to Nolin Thursday. Water was in the turnaround on the ramp. It is surely higher than that now.

I put in at the dam. Water was almost up to the turnaround when we left. Sorry, I can't help with Rough either.
