    Default Cedar Creek, April 5

We fished Cedar Creek on Sunday morning. Water temps were in the low-mid 50's, the lake appeared to be at full pool but not over it, and overall the water was clearer than I thought it was going to be, we could still see a chartreuse grub at 3 ft. But never mind all that, the fishing was slow! We couldn't buy a crappie bite, and we tried most everything: jigs, sliders, live minnows; shallows, ledges, tree lines, brush piles. Most other guys we talked to said the same thing. The bass were somewhat active; we caught a few dinky ones by accident.

It was crowded, like opening day at the baseball park. Around noon, we went by the mid-lake boat ramp and counted over 50 trucks in the parking lot, at the dam parking lot there were another 60, there were no spaces available. It sure felt like there were a couple of hundred boats out there.

    Anyone else have any luck?
