We fished Blood and Jonathan the week of 3/24 thru 3/30. Rain, High Winds, and several small Cold fronts caused the fishing to be off. Blood River seemed to be Dead, with no fish marking anywhere. 8 White Crappie were caught in 10 foot of water on a Chunk rock bank with green jigs in 3 days of fishing. The action at Jonathan seemed better, lots of fish marking on the ledges in 20 feet of water. These seemed to bite best when drifting minnows right on the bottom with ky rigs. The cleaner water was past the 68 bridge towards the main lake. Several boats had 20 fish days, all whites, with most loaded with eggs. The bass fishing was very good in flooded timber, with 20-30 fish a day catches. They hit best on spinnerbaits and small jigs. The black crappie were nowhere to be seen. 1 guy caught one early in the week in 8ft of water, other than that they seemed to disappear from the lake or had a serious case of lockjaw.
