Any certain color that you like better than the rest, I bought some this year hoping to start crappie fishing more. How do you rig yours up?

I use the crappie slider heads and rig them weedless style like the hook is designed to be used. I used to use, and have the best luck with, black heads. However, I can't find a reliable source for the black ones now. Bass pro never has them , nor does Academy. So now I use the chartreuse heads or the orange ones.

You will really like using them. Some people would say that you will miss hookups rigging them weedless but for every fish you may miss hooking up you catch five because of the thick stuff you can reel it right through without getting hung up.

As far as grub colors: black with chartreuse tail for stained or deep water fishing, tenn. shad for ultra clear and shallow fishing. Those two are what has been working now. In the past I have liked watermelon/chatreuse and the purple glitter/chartreuse.

The slider worms are dynamite in creeks for rock bass and smallmouths. For those I use pumpkin.
