Default Which lake should we go to?

So my old man is coming in for a couple of days of fishing. I am not sure which lake would be better right cause I haven't fished either one.
Barren River in Scottsville or Lake Malone.
Where do you guys think I should try and catch them at?
    Thanks again

Barren two days ago only caught one keeper. They were pulling barren too. May have had soemthing to do with it.

Had a real good day at the creek yesterday though. No monsters but did keep about ten.

Barren is "barren"....between the lakes fluctuation, poor spawns the past several years there's not much to get excited about. I talked with the fisheries guys and their netting survey for crappie yeilded very few fish.

That's troubling since it's the closest lake to me. Barren has pretty much become a green carp and hybrid lake.

Smashdn, Where are you fishing when you say the creek? Have you tried any of my stack beds I put out? All along the road... Just wanting to see what they are biting down there. Caught about a 8 lb channel cat the other night...

    Crappiecrazy will do

The Hines, I was talking with Gary from Ranger Bob's by the lake. He said he has heard of very few Crappie being caught. I believe Brad hit it on the head, Barren is Barren.

Yeah, kind of what i heard about that lake. I would say that I could go over to Malone, but this rain that we got is going to pushing down stream pretty good right now... Maybe next weekend???
