Default It just dawned on me!

I went fishing today at Jonathan. Water was 39 degrees and still muddy. Fish are still scattered because of the water level falling. When I got home, I was counting out my fish out of the livewell. I knew when I was fishing that I didn't have 30 but I wasn't exactly sure how many I did have. So, when I got done counting I had 22 keepers and then it dawned on me.......if this had been next Saturday, I would have to have thrown two fish back. REMEMBER, the limit changes March 1st to 20 fish over 10 inches. This is so gonna suck!

Most came from 9-12 feet of water. Done better on the flats than the creek channel. What was funny was that every time the sun came out, which was few and far between, they quit bitin'.

I am all for it. 20 is plenty for a feller/woman to keep. I don't want to clean much more than that anyway. I just want to catch them!

Amen to that. Catching is what it is all about.

I am down to my final 9 bags of crappie. It is time to replenish the freezer with some fresh slabs. Deer season was bad so there is a lot of empty space for some more crappie.
