well for once I don't mind things being a bit behind. I'm just now getting in good shape to start hittting the lake again every week. December, weather permitting, should be a good time to catch them.

I remember last December, the 16th to be exact, the weather was mild temps were in the 60's. My son and I caught 38 nice crappie on Barren, the biggest was 1lb 10oz'er. Hoping for a repeat.

Mush, I've been out of town all week and saw that we got quite a bit of rain back home. That will definately have things messed up for a while. The corp will be pulling on it like crazy till they can get it down.

Do you know what the current level is?

I work on the lake and as of Saturday the lake around the waterplant was not muddy. As a matter of fact it was just as clear as it has been. Down at the Narrows and most of the Skaggs Creek and Beaver Creek arm is very muddy. What happen was north Barren county received several inches of rain than the southern part. Most of this water is heading towards the dam, which keeps it heading away. I have anticipated some this water to mix, but like I said it had not as of yesterday. I will be back down tomorrow and will notice the water in that area. I would really believe there is still a lot of water thats not real muddy. Try Peters Creek and the Barren river arms and fish on the back of the islands. I caught several crappie the first week in December just walking the lake bottom and fishing the creeks. The lake was getting pulled down hard and the spots I was catching fish on were eventually exposed. Hopefully with this rain the lake will come up and I will be able to get on them again.
