    Default Cave Run

Will be going back to Ky to visit family and Cave Run is my old home lake.

Haven't fished it since moving away, so can anyone give me a good Crappie report so I have some idea what is happening on the lake now?

hope you aren't headed this way very soon .... Cave Run water temps are in the low 80's ... main lake water is very clear (10' visibility) ... even the river temps are in the high 70's ... lake level is slightly below Summer Pool ... grass is growing like crazy, all over the lake

(info is not mine, as I haven't been on CRL in years ... I found it on another website, where I'm a member)

forecast is for lowering air temps and a chance of rain, which should bode well for all our lakes (or the ones lucky enough to get some).

Never fished CRL in the Fall, for Crappie ... so I wouldn't even attempt to advise you on areas/methods/baits ... sorry. Maybe some of our E Ky members can/will give you some more info.

    ..... cp

Lake temps came up to 75 this week it was in the low 70s. You should find crappie up the river in the trees or in the deep blow downs. If you don't know the river put in at banger or poppin rock just be very careful the river feeds on lower units. Hope this helps c-ya on the water.
