Hello WR and welcome to the board. Yea Crappiepappy and I are going out early tomorrow morning. We will definately do this again, hopefully when everyone can be there. I'm just hoping to learn a little something about T=ville. I do ok in the spring but summer and fall pattern is a bit different.

would you believe I hit one on Hurstbourne behind U of L. Did a nasty number on my truck. I put those deer alerts in my grill and haven't seen one since. It's been about 3 years now and I guess they must work.

Arrow Hey guys .... (collective reply)

Downwind - got PM ... reply sent ... see ya in AM

Greenfish - thanks for update ... kinda what I expected/suspected, but always good to have confirmation. I'll take dinks tuggin on the line anyday, over gettin skunked :p

WRH ... welcome to Crappie.com !! Always good to see another KY angler onboard. Good bunch of guys and gals on this site, and it's forums.
And yes, I do believe these "hookups" could become a ongoing thing.

Arca ... we'll be watching for you. Thanks for the update.

Wannabe ... as for those "deer alert whistles", studies have shown that they don't work, so you may have just been "lucky" the last 3 yrs (so be alert, and on your guard). Supposedly they emit high frequency sounds and alert deer to your coming --- studies show that they don't emit these high frequency sounds, and even if they did, deer don't hear in the high frequency range --- their hearing range is similar to ours, just a little "better".

Thank you fellas, I look forward to meeting some of you folks soon enough, and maybe learn a few things about fishing some crappie better as well, I know I've already been scouring the recipe forums and learned a ton there just in the last two days! Downwind and crappiepappy, thanks once again for the welcome.

(this thread has been "un-stuck", and results of hookup have been posted in a seperate thread)
