I'd say, if you're totally set on fishing on KY Lake ... you might try Sportsman's Lodge on Jonathan Creek.
( sportsmans-lodge.com – Sportsmans Lodge on Kentucky Lake ) There you'll have all of Jonathan Creek to fish and be out of any heavy waves from wind or large boat traffic.

If you were to consider fishing Barkley Lake, instead ... I'd say Fish Island Resort for lodging, as it's a short drive to Barkley State Resort Park ramp and you'd have the entire Little River to fish.
