Default LAST WEEK HUNT FOR WALLEYE

I went 4 times to Cumberland last week fishing places I have never fished for walleye. It didn't turn out like I had hoped. Caught 0 walleye, 10 catfish, 18 striper, 20 crappie and the shocker a red eye. This weekend if I can go back I am going to the place I use to catch walleye 10 to 15 years ago and hope for the best. FYI if you go on a Saturday just before dark don't get on the main lake or close to the main lake around Jamestown. Thought I was going to get sunk, don't know what I was thinking....lol

Are you concentrating on points and cuts toward the dam , always did well with the red clay banks! I used to fish the waitsboro area but not had much luck last few years there! I’ve heard laurel and Dale hollow are the hot spots now!

I’ve pulled spinner rigs at green river lake a few weeks ago, I think they are staying near the thermocline! I didn’t follow my own advice lol green river is about 20 ft right now and I would think Cumberland would re near that , what depth were you fishing and what color ? I would think anything silver or extra flashy would be good!

I look for big rock slide mostly. That is what I did years ago this time of year and always did really good. I use to fish 99% of the time on the waitsboro end of the lake years ago too. I have not been on that end of the lake yet this year. In the past I did good casting and trolling bandit jerk baits from early spring to about the end of may. But July on I always did better putting lights out and using shad. I good dale and laurel are good walleye lakes but I am a crappie fisherman that just got a wild hair that I wanted to catch some walleye.....lol
